Benefits of swimming

Swimming is one of the most complete sports that exist and has a great amount of benefits for physical and mental health. At Condominio El Canal, we value health and wellness and encourage habits and practices that allow you to maintain and work on this balance.

Some of the main benefits of swimming are:

Improves cardiovascular health: Swimming is an aerobic exercise that helps improve blood circulation and strengthen the heart. Regular swimming can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease.

2. Strengthens muscles: Swimming is an exercise that works the entire body and helps strengthen muscles in a balanced way. In addition, because water offers natural resistance, swimming can help increase muscle strength.

Swimming is a recreational, sporting and athletic activity.

3. Improves flexibility: Water is a medium that offers little resistance to movement and this allows for greater range of motion in the joints. Regular swimming can help improve flexibility throughout the body.

4. Helps control weight: Swimming is an exercise that burns a lot of calories and, therefore, can help control weight. In addition, being a low-impact sport, it is ideal for people who are overweight or have joint problems.

5. Relieves stress: Swimming can be a relaxing and meditative activity that helps relieve stress and anxiety. In addition, water has a calming effect on the body and mind, which can help reduce tension and improve mood.

6. Improves sleep quality: Swimming can also improve sleep quality. Because it is an intense physical exercise, swimming can help exhaust the body and reduce anxiety, which can lead to more restful sleep.

In conclusion, swimming is a complete sport that can provide a wealth of physical and mental health benefits. Whether it's improving cardiovascular health, strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, controlling weight, relieving stress or improving sleep quality, swimming can be an excellent choice for keeping the body and mind in shape.

At the Canal we offer many spaces to relax, exercise, and have fun. The semi-Olympic pool is just one of three connected pools we have designed and created. On the other side is the children's pool, with a low floor so children can stand up, learn to feel comfortable in the water. In between is the common pool, deep, cool, with a seating bar to watch the sunset.
